A Conversation for Ask h2g2
Recently i acquired a £25 M voucher. I don't normally shop there, purely because it's more costly, and I'm not too bothered about ending up having a lower quality alternative. However, now that I have this voucher, I would as well take full advantage of it. If I do an ordinary food shop there, Yes, it includes things like bottles of Pepsi which, like a branded product, will be cheaper elsewhere for that _exact_ same task. Cola is among the few things for which I do steer clear of the own-brand products, as I can definitely taste the main difference. I gather some would reason that everything is poor value at M or everything is good value. However, what are the products in particular which you think I should look for? Or avoid?
The M cheap mens jeans last fine,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], (in black), colour holds well (turning thoroughly for washing with zip and button closed), they're durable,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and they are cheap. M socks are now a waste of time; last seven pairs I acquired I wore for 3 months, then threw them out, I only wore them for 3 months, instead of once, when i had to find replacements; Tesco socks,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], at viritually a tenth from the price are much better made, of a better quality main matterial, and the elastic/lycra actually appears to be in them/works. M mens knickers aren't anything special either anymore, cheaper superior can be found elsewhere; The idea of paying more because it is* the M brand has fallen down due, on their clothes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a lowering of quality and manafacturing. Though, strangely, their female knickers/panties/thongs/bras seem excellent err or so I've heard. Most fruit and veg, doesn't really seem to matter where you buy it, some is preferable to others, but that is largely obvious by taking a look at it, and also the cheap stuff from market stalls seems of the same quality or better,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and frequently cheaper than pre-packed versions from the supermarkets (the main one exception being Waitrose Crenollini mushrooms, or however its spelt,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which cost about ten million pounds but don't seem to be sold by another shop within the entire country). M do a little really expensive jar of the . err whatever its called. err. olive thing. that is overpriced but very costly, and I'm not sure I've seen that elsewhere This is, however going through just those M stores I've been in, in the last 2 yrs (Cambridge, Norwich, Lowestoft,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and I'm sure another). None of which continues to be in a position to sell me a pair of shoes. or socks that actually work.
Ms Stress gets regular eMails with current offers - at times they assist to clutter up my inbox but usually are available in once/twice per week. She occasionally buys items online that, here, aren't available / too costly / poorer quality. Their delivery service is very good and apparently not overly expensive. 2legs, try searching 'Pringle socks' I still have half-a-dozen pairs in good condition, from way back, though they're not my everyday socks. (if you buy,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], remember that it is simply not done to put on the logos facing one another, on the inside of your legs).
they have logos?! Socks with logos! no no no. say it ain't true err. I don't like any clothes with logos on advertising the make/manafacturer The Tesco ones seem like lasting for years; the very best best ever socks I purchased were in 1992, costing about £8 per pair. seriously. I did lots of hiking back then. these were wool, and lasted me until 2002. well, just a little after that, really,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but they'd gotten quite 'distressed looking' the final few years I refused to change them Oh, and the Tesco ones possess the added advantage that William has got the identicle socks. so we convey more of the joint sock collection. which jogs my memory, I'm certain the odd one I have here, would make his collection complete again
School trousers. Osh's M ones have lasted him all year without repair, the industry first. And they were the cheap M school trousers too. Obvs they were a little long at the start of the entire year along with a little short towards the end of the season, but they have adjustable waistbands (much more important, hems can be let down and up but waists take time and effort for skinny kids) and were without doubt the very best value school uniform purchase I've *ever* produced in more than a decade of buying the stuff. Obviously, if you do not know any Ten year old boys this is not much use for you. Ladies' underwear. T-shirts - their plain T-shirts tend to be well-cut and keep their shape well. Our wedding cutlery was all M - still shiny after 18 many years of daily use. Fresh flowers. Towels - again, we have a couple which were wedding presents and although they have retired from daily use (only since the colour doesn't go with our current bathroom) they are still being used as 'guest' towels rather than retired to the rag bag. But - if there is nothing I felt *obliged* to purchase, personally or for the family or the house, I would buy the dine set for two. They are not just ready meals . Mol
If I've been given a voucher, I don't mind buying something I could get cheaper elsewhere, because I am not having to pay. I'll usually attempt to choose a product I would like but wouldn't bother to purchase. In M I'd probably make use of the voucher for underwear that I normally buy spend the cash elsewhere on the treat. I've found M socks last well but I consider their towels inferior to those of the never knowingly undersold store. My wok is M that's lasted well; I've also bought reasonable cheap handbags jewellery there. M kid's trousers are ideal for length (will they still come with a patch for repairs?),[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but it is unfortunate there's a nothing within their range for thin adult men. Can we put in a bid for the voucher?
