Milk producers to get incentive of Rs,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
Minister for Animal Husbandry and Public Libraries Revu Naik Belamagi said on Friday that the Government was giving an incentive of Rs. 2 a litre of milk to 6.61 lakh milk producers in the State,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], amounting to Rs. 616 crore.
He was addressing presspersons after reviewing the progress of the departments of Animal Husbandry and Public Libraries in Mysore,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Mandya and Chamarajanagar districts,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], here.
The Minister said veterinary ambulances on the lines of the 108 ambulances operated by the Department of Health and Family Welfare would be launched soon on an experimental basis under the Dhanwantri scheme. According to Mr. Belamagi,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Rs. 1 crore had been set aside to examine the possibility of organic milk production. A sum of Rs. 33.69 crore was spent last year under the Amrutha scheme,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], benefiting 31,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],421 families.
